Idaho's Gold Country
Located at an elevation of 3,000 feet in the heart of the Clearwater National Forest is the Cedar Inn. Built in 1927 as a hotel for the railroad crews of the time, the Cedar Inn has quite a colorful past. Still operating as a hotel, it has been expanded to include a restaurant, where families are always welcome. We will serve your favorite beverage and food, from seafood to steaks and burgers (people come from miles around to enjoy one of Loretta's juicy burgers) to the best made pizza in the territory. (We'll put our pizza up against anybody's).
To find the Cedar Inn travel east from Lewiston, Idaho to the Orofino/Missoula Highway 12 exit. Continuel east on Highway 12 along the Clearwater River to the Greer/Weippe/Pierce/Highway11 junction and cross the bridge over the Clearwater River to Greer and on to Weippe, where the Nez Perce Indians first met the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery. Continue on north 11 miles to Pierce Idaho, where gold was first discovered in Idaho.
