There are over 3000 G.P.A.A. members in the Anchorage Bowl area. The expertise and interests of the GPAA'ers ranges from first-time beginners to experienced, professional miners. The Anchorage Chapter of the G.P.A.A. was established with the idea of providing all these folks a chance to get together to have fun, make some new friends, teach, and work together to strengthen mining in Alaska. A typical meeting provides a guest speaker, who may talk about how placer deposits are formed in nature, or what's the history of gold production in a particular area, or what the latest EPA, BLM, or State regulations and policy might do to mining in Alaska. And of course, the meeting is a place to talk about the newest "hot spots", gold finds, latest equipment, and pick up tips on mining techniques. There are several G.P.A.A. member-only claims right here in the Anchorage Bowl area, where you can prospect for and find gold! G.P.A.A. of Kenai, (Kenai, Ak.) We are working for you to keep recreational mining allowed here in this Great United States. The Gold Prospectors Club We are a gold prospecting club with multiple gold claims in Alaska for members to dredge and pan for gold, keep what they find and share the experience and adventure with fellow prospectors. The Gold Prospectors Club is for adventurous people who like the outdoors and would enjoy searching for gold in the great Alaska gold mining fields. We have rich gold claims on the creeks of Bonanza, Confederate Gulch, Butte, Discovery, and Millers. Our claims are located off a gravel road named the Steese Highway, also called Alaska Hwy 6. They are about 100 miles northeast of Fairbanks in the Circle Mining District. Our club is for those who can do and plan for themselves, experience Alaska at her best and return home with the gold. This is not a planned or guided tour. You can drive up with your own camping and mining gear or if you want to fly up we can make special arrangements tailored to fit your individual needs. Space is limited and is filled on a first come, first served basis during the summer from the 15th of June thru the 15th of August. This is not a tourist camp.It is flat rock camping with no electricity and no indoor plumbing. However, we do have running water. We run down to the creek and get it by the bucket. If you like steak, eat your fill before leaving home. Spam, beans, soup, oatmeal, grits, hash, stew, and coffee keeps us going as we search for the gold. Come join us! Your reward will be all the gold you find and the Alaskan adventure of a lifetime! Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much! Arizona Arizona Association of Prospectors, Inc.,The (AAGP) Phoenix Chapter P.O. It is a safe environment where your family and friends can get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Just sit back and relax. All of our properties have gates and are locked after every vehicle goes through it, only members have keys. Camping is primitive (NO HOOK UPS). We hold monthly meetings, seminars on prospecting and how to clinics. We have common operations several times a year. We share information on gold prospecting and treasure hunting. Most gold mining equipment stores give discounts to our members. Our membership numbers over 600 active members. Dues go for leasing gold bearing properties and general operating expenses. Officers are elected by the membership and are not paid. All work is strictly voluntary for the betterment of the club. G.P.A.A. of Augusta Augusta Chapter, (Augusta, Ga.)
